Hi, I am Angie McFarren. My husband and I have been homeschooling our two children since 2002. We did not set out to homeschool. It just happened at the last minute. I remember being filled with many questions and uncertain as to where to find the answers.

Well-meaning homeschool moms began telling me how to homeschool. What made matters confusing, is that they all homeschooled differently.

I spent hours reading everything I could about homeschooling and still was unable to find the answers that seemed to fit how my husband and I wanted to home educate our children. It took about 2 years of trial and error until we felt comfortable with what was best for our family.

After several years of homeschooling, I realized I could help other families so they would not feel alone or judged on how they wanted to homeschool their children. That was when H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting began. H.O.P.E. is an acronym for Home schooling parents Organized and Prepared to Educate. 

It soon became apparent that moms were in need of knowing how to homeschool. Even those who had been homeschooling for years felt things were not working as they had hoped.
